Kids Birthday Party Ideas

Birthday, once in a year occasion, must be celebrated with so much zest and zeal that it becomes the most memorable day of the year. And kids are the ones who wait most eagerly for their birthdays. A hope of numerous gifts and toys, and immense fun and frolic gives them a sleepless night just before their birthday. And so the birthday parties should stand upto the expectations of the kids.

If you are looking forward to some innovative ideas of organising amazing birthday parties for your kids, then here we are. Giving a suitable theme for the party will make it much more easier for you to arrange and much more entertaining for the kids. But then you must ensure that the invitations are sent to everybody well in advance. And the decorations should appropriately go along with the theme.

Harry Potter is one of the favourites amongst all the kids. So why not ask the kids to dress up as one of the characters from the series of Harry Potter books or movies! And why not convert your party room into a Hogwarts gala! You need not be a wizard to make the party successful, because the kids’ whimsical and fanciful notions will definitely outlast yours. They will themselves create a magical atmosphere by casting out imaginary spells on each other, turning each other into lizards, toads, rabbits etc., all you need to do is to create a bewitching and fascinating space to heighten up the children’s imagination. This can be done by combining different aspects from movies/books like spider webs, plastic spiders, twinkling party lights, plastic frogs, paper snowflakes and white streamers etc.

If your kid is a die hard fan of Spiderman then go for a Spiderman birthday party! Then red and blue will be the chief colours of the decoration. You can put up a few Spiderman posters, balloons and matching streamers. Some toy spiders can also be scattered around the table. To make the party much more interesting, you can also take up some Spiderman party games and activities, like stick the spider on spiderman game. This game is played just like pin the tail on the donkey. All you have to do is to sick the plastic spiders on the spider web drawn on a poster board.

If you have a little daughter, then you can go for Disney Princess Birthday Party. Pink, lavender, yellow and white will be the choice of colours for decoration. Give your party place a touch of royalty. After all it’s the birthday of your princess. Let the kids dressup and enact as little princesses like Cindrella, Snow-white and smart princes. Divide them into couples and then indulge them in several games. Let the princesses hide and let their princes search them out. Whoever does it first, let that couple be the winner of the day.

Another exciting theme can be Pirate birthday parties. Let the kids dress up as pirates in the most imaginative and creative way possible. Let there be a special prize for the best dressed pirate! Transform your party room into a pirate’s hide-out with pirate flags in various colors. If you’re the creative type, then paint brown boxes to resemble wood crates, add gold plastic beads and other “stolen treasure” to create the mood. You can also hang some rope lines and rigging and place a few wood whiskey barrels in the party area. Such a party can’t be complete without the treausre hunt. Before the party, create a pirate treasure box and fill it with toys, candies, chocolates etc. Then hide it somewhere and let the pirates search it out. Whoever finds it first, will be the owner of the treasure.

Kids’ parties will be incomplete without cakes, chocoltes, ice creams and toys. So make sure the stock lasts for everybody.
